Write for us

We welcome pitches that help readers understand a specific force, choice or possibility shaping life across Asia. Send proposals through the Contact page, with the reason for the subject and a clear account of what the piece would add.

What we welcome

We consider clear, well-scoped ideas related to technology, cities, work, culture or environmental change. Strong pitches make room for differences between places, explain why the subject matters and give readers a grounded way to think about it. We welcome explanatory, comparative and historical approaches.

What to include

In a few sentences, describe the subject, the central question and the shape of the proposed piece. Say what context or material you would draw on, and note any relevant relationship that could affect how readers understand the work. A focused proposal is more useful than a broad topic list.

How to send a proposal

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then include your pitch in the message. Sending a proposal does not guarantee publication. Please do not send a complete article unless it has been requested.
